Ask for new PVSS license
- make sure that your NICE account is added to the database of “Authorised PVSS Users” (if not, ask to the controls coordinator Andre Augustinus and Peter Chochula)
- on the PVSS Project Administration panel click on the "get hardware code" button (third from right)
- fill the fields on the new panel and send the request
- modify the file C:\ETM\PVSS2\3.8\shield with the new licese information
Change the password for the Oracle database
SPDFED:
- on spdfed0 change all the spd.ini files with the new password (SpdFEDServer and SpdFEDServerP2test)
- restart the FED servers
SPD PVSS:
- on pcpix108 open Gedi, from the menu on the left select Libraries -> spdConfDataSourceManager.crl
- search for the database name ("DEVDB11"), comment the old lines and insert the new password
- restart the User Interface, check the log messages
PIT PVSS:
- on pxpic106 open Gedi, from the menu on the left select spd_pit -> Libraries -> pit -> pit_database_library.ctl
- search for the database name ("DEVDB11"), comment the old lines and insert the new password
- restart the User Interface, check the log messages
Add FSM parameter
- go to Device Editor & Navigator -> FSM tab, chose the "Go to editor" mode, select in the FSM tree the node to be modified (ex. SPD_DCS_RUN) and click on "Create/configure FSM object types"
- select the Device Unit to be modified, double click on it
- in the new panel, select the Action List (ex. SOR), and click on "Action parameters"
- insert the new parameter, click on Add and then OK
- do the same with the corresponding Logical Object and save
- from the DEV select "Go to navigator" and "Start/restart all"
Add equipment on DATE (aldaqpc018)
- on aldaqpc018 go to the folder /date/editDb
- ./editDb.sh
- click on Equipment, select the LDC (ex. aldaqpc018-LDC) and change/add the Equipment (copy the settings from an equipment which is already active)
